Reported by Aba Hurairah
(RA): Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "If you are afflicted
in any way, do not say: 'If I had taken this or that step, it would
have resulted in such and such,' but say only: 'Allah so determined and
did as He willed.' The word 'if' opens the gate of satanic thoughts. "

The way of righteous women
There
was a woman who reach the ages of 40; Her sisters and brothers all got
married, and her parents died; and she stayed in the house alone. She
was religiously committed and righteous.
A woman said to her; May ALLAH help you to cope with this loneliness, you have stayed alone after all your family has gone. And she started to encourage her to be patience.

Virtues of Shaheed
The Messenger of
Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Before Allah, the Shaheed
has six virtues: he is forgiven from the first drop of blood shed; he
will be shown his place in Paradise; he will be protected from the
torment of the grave; he will be safe from the greater terror (of the
Day of Resurrection); a crown of dignity will be placed on his head, of
which one ruby is better than this world and all that is in it; he will
be married to seventy-two of al-Hoor al-Iyn; and he will intercede for
seventy of his relatives.” [Sunaan at-Tirmidhi]
After the fear the Shaheed (martyr) experienced in worldly life, Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) will not allow him to be subjected to any more hardship. By the time the Day of Resurrection comes around the Shaheed has already been forgiven his sins, been shown his place in Paradise and been protected from the hardship of the grave. When people are filled with terror on the Day of Resurrection, the Shaheed will feel no fear for he has already begun to experience the vast bounties of Allah on him and knows that there is much more to come.
Good Deeds
It
is reported on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah
(may peace be upon him) observed: He who believes in Allah and the Last
Day should either utter good words or better keep silence; and he who
believes in Allah and the Last Day should treat his neighbour with
kindness and he who believes in Allah and the Last Day should show
hospitality to his guest.

Do you know how to engage with the Quran?
Bismillah
This article is by Basma Abdelgafar. When i read her article i really felt so impressed that i thought to share in my blog. JazakhaAllah khair Basma Abdelgafar.
There is something that has been bothering me for quite some time now and it is the realization that so many Muslims (especially youth) are not engaging with the Quran as they should be.
Instead of reading and trying to understand it many people feel that the Quran is too complex, too long, too repetitive, too sacred, scary, even dangerous and so avoid the exercise altogether.
Some have even been cautioned by others about reading it and trying to form their own understandings. This should certainly not be the case. I will tell you at the outset that I am not an Islamic scholar, nor have I formally studied the Quranic sciences but that is not a pre-requisite for reading and engaging with the Quran and benefiting from it, as I shall demonstrate below.

Path To Paradise-A Touching Story
Bismillah
Every Friday afternoon, after the jumma prayers, the Imam and his 11 yr old son would go out into their town and hand out "PATH TO PARADISE" and other Islamic literature. This particular and fortunate Friday afternoon,as the time came for the Imam and his son to go to the streets with thier booklets,it was very cold outside,as well as pouring rain. The boy bundled up in his warmest and driest clothes and said,'ok, dad ,I m ready!'His dad asked,'ready for what?' 'Dad,its time we go out and distribute these islamic books'.

Greatest Delight
Narrated Suhayb ibn Sinan ar-Rumi (radi Allahu anhu) that the
Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “When those
deserving of Paradise enter Paradise, the Blessed and Exalted will ask:
‘Do you wish Me to give you anything more?’ They will say: ‘Have You not
brightened our faces? Have You not made us enter Paradise and saved us
from Fire?’ He (Allah) will then lift the veil (from their eyes), and of
things given to them nothing will be dearer to them than the sight of
their Lord, the Mighty and the Glorious." [Book 1: Sahih Muslim]
Pride
The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Whoever has pride
in his heart equal to the weight of a mustard seed shall not enter
Paradise.” Someone asked, “A person likes to wear beautiful clothes and
fine shoes.” He replied, “Allah is beautiful and likes beauty. Pride
means rejecting the truth and looking down on other people.” [Sahih
Muslim]
It is no sin to wear beautiful things or to look good, but to have pride means to feel that one is superior to another because of the provisions that Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) has provided one with. It is Allah’s will who He decides to give what to in this world. It is not a sign of Allah’s pleasure or displeasure. The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) told us that were this world the place of reward and punishment, the Kuffar would not be given even a sip of water to drink. Complete reward and punishment are reserved for the never ending hereafter. This worldly life is in its entirety a test. And what we are provided with in terms of family, wealth, health and opportunities are part of our question papers. What we do with them is our test.

Education
The Prophet (sal Allahu
alaihi wa sallam) said: “The best gift that a father can bestow upon his
son is to arrange good education and training for him.” [Mishkat]
Concentrate all your efforts to train and educate your children in piety and consider the greatest sacrifice too little to achieve this purpose. This is an obligation laid upon you by your religion, it is a favour you owe to your children, and it is the greatest good that you can do to yourself. Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) says:

The
Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "Allah does not look at
your appearance or property, but only at your hearts and works."

6. How Allah subhaanahu wa ta'aala Helps Through Those Whom We Hang Out With
A few months back, I was being overloaded with work, studies, exams and
assignments, which was topped with a challenge I had never thought I
would have to encounter. As much as I wanted to recite the duas for
difficulty, my heart was unyielding. It sent a shiver down my spine
because then, at that point of time, I realized why it wouldn’t be easy
for everyone to recite the shahadah as much as they would want to, when
they are on the clutches of death.

Back in the days as a teenager, there were two goals I wanted to
achieve: top in academics and have “cool” friends. The ones who are
popular in class, the ones who would take part in all the extra
curricular activities and come off as well-rounded, the ones whom others
would look at in awe; not the snobbish ones though, let me clarify.
The Wife is the Neck
Rasul
Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “A woman is married for four
things: her wealth, her family status, her beauty and her
religion/piety. So you should marry the religious woman otherwise you
will be a loser.” [Sahih Bukhari]

Least Punished
The Prophet (SalAllahu-alaihi-wa-sallam) said: “The least punished person of the people of Hell-Fire on the Day of Resurrection will be a man under whose arch of the feet two smouldering embers will be placed, because of which his brain will boil just like Al-Mirjal (copper vessel) or a Qum-qum (narrow-necked vessel) boils with water.” [Sahih Bukhari]
What Makes Allah Unresponsive
Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa
sallam) said: “I swear by Him Who has power over my life, you must
enforce virtue and curb evil, otherwise Allah shall very soon send such
calamity over you that you will cry and seek mercy from Allah but you
will get no response.” [Tirmidhi]

Piety
The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa

buyer found a jar filled with gold in the land. The buyer said to the
seller: ‘Take your gold, as I bought only the land from you and not the
gold.’ The owner of the land said: ‘I sold you the land with
everything in it.’ So both of them took.......
Lowering One's Gaze
Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas (radi Allahu anhu): "Al-Fadl bin Abbas rode behind Allah's Messenger (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) as his companion rider on the back portion of his she-camel on the day of Nahr (slaughtering of sacrifice, 10th Dhul-Hijja) and Al-Fadl was a handsome man.
The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) stopped to give the people verdicts (regarding their matters). In the meantime, a beautiful woman from the tribe of Khatham came, asking the verdict of Allah's Messenger. Al-Fadl started looking at her as her beauty attracted him. The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) looked behind while Al-Fadl was looking at her;
The Story of Dajjal Must Read
Dajjal the individual will be the epitome of the Dajjal system, the ultimate kaffir, and therefore inevitably to be chosen as the leader of that system, when he appears. The letters KFR are the basic root letters of the Arabic word Kufr, or Kaffir. Kufr is to cover up and to reject. The kaffir is the one who covers up the true nature of existence - and who rejects the messengers who are sent by Allah to show people how to live in harmony with what is within in them and with what is without them, and to worship and have knowledge of Allah. The Prophet Muhammad said that kufr is one system. The Kufr system is the Dajjal. The three aspects of Dajjal are in fact interlinked and indivisible.
Dajjal will be a young man with very curly hair with one eye protruding (with which he cannot see). travelling about the world in large hops. Among other descriptions of the Dajjal in the Hadith collections we find the following:

Ayat ul-Kursi after Fardh Salat
Abu Umamah (radi Allahu anhu) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, "Whoever recites Ayat ul-Kursi immediately after each prescribed Prayer, there will be nothing standing between him and his entering Paradise except death." [Nasai, Ibn Hibban, Darimi]
Lying while Joking
Abdullah
Ibn Amr Ibn Amr al-Aas (radhi allahu anhu) narrated that the Prophet
(sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam) said: “Whoever has the following four
characteristics will be a pure hypocrite; and whoever has one of these
four characteristics will have one characteristic of hypocrisy unless
and until he gives it up; whenever he is entrusted he betrays, whenever
he speaks he tells a lie, whenever he makes a covenant he proves
treacherous, and whenever he quarrels he behaves in a very imprudent,
evil and insulting manner.” [Saheeh al-Bukhari]

Taqwa and Good conduct
The
Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) was asked about the
deed which will be foremost in causing a man to enter Jannah. He
replied, “Taqwa of Allah and good conduct.” Then he was asked about the
thing which will admit a man to Jahannum the most, and he answered,

(sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam): "O Rasul Allah, are the women of this
world superior or the hoors (of Paradise)?" He (sal Allahu alaihi wa

the hoors just as the outer lining of a garment has superiority over
the inner lining." Umme Salamah (radi Allahu anha) then asked,
Breaking a Promise
Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “The signs of a hypocrite are three: when he speaks he lies, when he promises he breaks it, and when entrusted he betrays his trust.” [Sahih Bukhari]
Therefore, one must be careful not to make promises casually or to make promises that one has no intention to keep. Allah Most High mentions in the Quran the story of the man who lied and broke his promise and the recompense of such people:
